I have come from a different land
To make this place my own
Like so many others from across the world
Who’ve lived and prospered and grown.
We’re a kaleidoscope of cultures
Sharing dreams at work and play
All making Australia
The place it is today

Where else in the world can you go
Where one land can boast it all?
Where the cool, clear waters
Meet the snow white sands
And the ocean whispers it’s call
And as we celebrate
Our settlement of so many years ago
Just look how far we all have come

The Rock and ochred sand
They saw the tall ships asailing in
With outcasts from a foreign land
With a larrikin mind
And the will to find
We’ve become the land of the free
This is Australia
And what it means to me

From the mountains and from sea to sea
The rugged coast to the Kimberleys
East to West
How this land is blessed
There’s no other place I’d rather be
We all live as one
Together become
